Read your build sheet.

A build sheet is the recipe for the clubs. It says what was chosen. It usually does not say why.

Read any line that changed by asking three things:

  • Compared with what? The maker’s standard, or the clubs you play now.
  • Why this change? Distance, direction, feel, gapping, or a stock preference.
  • What is still unknown? One line cannot tell you the problem is solved.

If a line does not answer those three, ask before you order.

SAMPLE BUILD SHEET

Tap a line. Read what it actually tells you.

Fictional example only. These specs are not a recommendation.

IRON SET

The point is not to memorize these specs. It is to know what question each line should make you ask.

Before you order

If your own sheet still leaves you with a question, ask it before you spend the money.
